About Department of Agriculture

Integral Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology (IIAST) was formally established on 9th May, 2014 to strengthen agricultural education. IIAST offers undergraduate programmes including ICAR accredited B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture and B. Tech. Agricultural Engineering, as well as postgraduate programmes such as MBA Agribusiness Management, M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agronomy, Genetics & Plant Breeding, and Soil Science, and M.Sc. (Hort.) in Fruit Science and Vegetable Science.

IIAST also offers a Ph.D. program across major agricultural disciplines and provides well‑equipped laboratories, an agricultural museum, an integrated farming system, an automatic weather station and large arable farms where students acquire hands‑on experience to reinforce classroom instruction.

Teaching, Research & Partnerships

IIAST maintains MOUs with several leading academic and research institutions. Our aim is to train human resources who will become active and independent researchers, entrepreneurs, educators and progressive farmers contributing to the field of agriculture.
