ABOUT INTEGRAL UNIVERSITY

Integral University is a premier university in Lucknow, the capital city of the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established under the Act Number 9 of 2004 by the State Government. The University is duly approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under sections 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act, 1956, Medical Council of India, Pharmacy Council of India, Indian Nursing Council, Council of Architecture, Bar Council of India, Indian Association of Physiotherapists, National Council for Teacher Education, UP State Medical Faculty and Distance Education Bureau. Integral University is accredited by NAAC (A+) and recognised as a Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, IIAST

Integral Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology (IIAST) was formally established on 9th May, 2014 to contribute its part towards Agricultural Education. IIAST offers two Undergraduate Programmes, ICAR accredited B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, B. Tech. Agricultural Engineering and Post Graduate Programmes MBA Agribusiness Management, M.Sc. Agriculture (Agronomy/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Soil Science), M.Sc. (Hort.) Fruit Science / Vegetable Science. The institute also offers Ph.D. program in major disciplines of Agriculture. IIAST has well equipped laboratories, Agriculture museum, Integrated Farming System, Automatic Weather Station as well as big arable farms where students gain the hands on experience and reinforce the classroom instructions. IIAST has MOUs with several leading Academic & Research Institutions. We aim to train human resource who will become active and independent researcher, entrepreneur, educator, and progressive farmer who would contribute to the field of agriculture and enrich it. To ensure the high quality of the educational program we will continue to promote reform and innovation.

ABOUT U.P. COUNCIL OF AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH

UPCAR is an autonomous apex state organisation registered as a society, which plans, co- ordinates and promotes research, education, training and transfer of technology for advancement of agriculture and allied sciences. UPCAR was established on June 14, 1989 with its headquarters at Lucknow. Over the years it has developed expertise to find out solutions on the emerging problems related to agriculture and allied sectors in the state with the active co-ordination of the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), ICAR and CSIR institutes located in the state. It has also established strong linkages with Government Departments and other institutions engaged in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, sericulture, environment, natural resource management and allied disciplines.
